Blessed Junipero Serra Catholic Church
Campaign Purpose
Father Serra Parish started with only 300 families on August 15, 1987. Twenty five years later they had grown ten times larger – to a little over 3,000 families! This meant they had larger numbers of students in religious education and confirmation preparation, and the parish offered many more activities and ministries.
To address their various needs, Blessed Junipero Serra Parish developed a four-phased master plan to construct four buildings to alleviate their space issues. Walsh & Associates was hired for their campaign to raise funds for Phase I to build an Early Childhood Educational Center and Additional Parking. The Forward in Faith – Fulfilling Our Mission campaign raised funds toward 5,200 square feet of additional space including four classrooms, administrative and director’s offices, and an area for a nurse. This would be the fulfillment of the parish’s vision and dreams for an early childhood program.
