Centennial Campaign: Celebrating 100 Years of Sacred Heart Catholic Church
A Campaign To Maintain & Improve Our Church Facilities
In 2025, Sacred Heart Catholic Church will reach an incredible milestone—100 years since its founders in faith laid the cornerstone of its historic church building. For a century, this sacred space has been a place of worship, prayer, and community, welcoming generations of parishioners through its doors.
As the church approaches its centennial anniversary, it is a time for both celebration and responsibility. While the building has served the community well for 100 years, the time has come for today’s members to do their part in maintaining and preserving it for future generations. Sacred Heart’s leaders and parishioners recognized that caring for their historic church was not just a necessity, but also a reflection of their stewardship and commitment to their faith.
To ensure the church remains a strong and beautiful place of worship, leaders carefully assessed the facilities, prioritized essential repairs, and explored various solutions. Their primary focus was to address urgent maintenance needs, improve safety and comfort, and uphold the building’s structural and architectural integrity. Among the most pressing concerns were roof repairs and replacements, interior restoration, and a new HVAC system to ensure a comfortable environment for parishioners and visitors.
To make these improvements possible, Sacred Heart Parish partnered with Walsh & Associates to plan and execute both a Feasibility & Planning Study and a fundraising campaign. Branded as the Centennial Campaign: Preserving Our Spiritual Heritage & Legacy, the campaign was met with an inspiring response from the community. Parishioners came together in faith and generosity, exceeding the fundraising goal and ensuring that Sacred Heart’s historic church would remain a place of worship for generations to come.
Proper stewardship of the church building is essential, and delaying critical repairs—such as roof restoration—can lead to more costly damage over time. While minor repairs have been made in past years, the parish recognized the need for a more comprehensive approach. Every improvement is being made with great care, following historic preservation guidelines to maintain the church’s deep connection to the community’s history and culture.
