John Gilchrist is passionate about enabling hope and deepening relationships through philanthropy. He joined Walsh & Associates for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for faith-based organizations. With over 20 years of proven experience as a fundraising leader, coach, and consultant, John has directed all aspects of philanthropic processes, including capital campaign management, annual, major, and planned giving campaigns, increasing board engagement, donor prospecting, cultivation, marketing, and stewardship.
As a Walsh & Associates church capital campaign consultant, John draws on his expertise at leading careful recruitment and empowerment of volunteer leaders, developing meaningful case statements, and implementing proven processes instrumental to the successes of these campaigns.
John serves his church as the Chair of his church’s foundation board and as an adult Sunday School teacher. He and his wife of nearly 40 years, Amy, live in Dallas. They have two adult daughters; one of whom is on the music staff at a Denton, TX church. He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2007 and a Fellow in the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP) since 2012.
