Good Shepherd Catholic Parish
Church Capital Campaign for Church Renovation & School Expansion
Good Shepherd Catholic Parish stands as a bold architectural presence in its neighborhood. Its modern design draws the eye as a community landmark. But while the exterior made a statement, the church’s interior lacked the same spiritual and visual impact. The worship space, though functional, was missing the warmth, beauty, and recognizable elements that signify a Catholic sacred space.
Alongside its spiritual mission, Good Shepherd is deeply committed to faith-based education. The parish school, especially its thriving Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs, had strong enrollment and community support. Yet, the physical space for these youngest learners fell short of what families and faculty hoped for—temporary mobile classrooms simply didn’t meet the standard of excellence.
Honoring Our Traditions, Building Our Future
To move forward with intention, Good Shepherd partnered with Walsh for a feasibility and planning study, gathering parish input and assessing priorities. From there, the Honoring Our Traditions, Building Our Future campaign was launched to bring their Long-Range Facilities Master Plan to life.
The campaign focused on the priority Phase I Church Improvements to fully renovate the Sanctuary to enhance its functionality while making it more beautiful, welcoming, and reflective of Catholic tradition. It also included Phase II plans to address the school’s critical need for permanent, purpose-built Preschool and Pre-K spaces that could nurture the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of their youngest students.
The Good Shepherd community responded with remarkable generosity and sacrificial support. This campaign was not only a financial success—it was a powerful expression of unity and shared purpose. Parishioners gave freely of their time, resources, and hearts. With the fundraising goal surpassed, Good Shepherd is now moving forward with its vision.
Good Shepherd Catholic Parish is not just renovating buildings – they’re strengthening the heart of their parish for generations to come.
