St Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church
Campaign Purpose
St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception is the oldest Catholic Church in Rock Island County. For 170 years the parish has been ministering to the community’s needs, welcoming immigrants and newcomers, and inviting all to grow together in Christ as a family of faith. Their facilities, including their beautiful, historic worship space, however, needed maintenance and renovations to serve their parish’s needs into the future.
In service with Walsh & Associates, St. Mary’s endeavored to undertake a capital campaign to preserve, renovate, reinvigorate, and restore their church buildings. Their Honoring Our Past, Securing Our Future campaign would celebrate their history, blending modern and traditional to create a welcoming, appealing environment. All their plans would be toward a goal of drawing people in and having their church survive and joyfully thrive for many more years. St. Mary’s plans were generously supported by their membership who raised 2.81 times their annual giving in the campaign.
