Campaign Purpose

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church dates to 1875 and their school to 1910. They have provided faith-filled education to generations of Perham area families and, today offer a variety of spiritual, educational, social, and service ministries to their community. Yet, while their steeple stands as a symbol in Perham of their strong heritage and activity, they had some challenges.

Honoring Our Past – The church community was looking forward to the celebration of its 150th Anniversary and wanted to glorify God by honoring their heritage and work together to meet their current and future needs.

Building Our Future – In order to continue to provide quality, Lutheran faith-based education, their school building needed to be updated and expanded. Also, their parking lot needed to be improved for the safety and convenience of everyone who came to their church and school.

Expansion & Renovation

In time for their Upcoming 150th Anniversary Celebration and after a detailed study and architect consultation, St. Paul’s decided to literally build their future by constructing a new school addition instead of repairing their old buildings.

The new school addition would include new classrooms and breakout spaces, a dedicated music room, a secure entryway and improved office area, and a new fire sprinkler system. They would also renovate their gym, hallway, and existing classrooms to meet the special needs of their kindergarten and first grade classes.

Maintenance

For the safety and improvement of everyone’s experience, St. Paul’s campaign plans included parking lot maintenance. Their current parking would be improved and additional parking added. This would result in more parking for their busiest services and improved traffic flow, especially for school dropoff and pickup.

Campaign Success

The Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future campaign was St. Paul Lutheran Church’s third campaign with Walsh & Associates. Focused on school improvements, the church was able to tackle their project and raise the pledges and funds needed toward their goal.
