St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church
Campaign Purpose
A 2016 parish survey identified traffic flow as a major parishioner concern. This undoubtedly adversely affected Mass and other parish event attendance. The parish also hoped to improve their curb appeal to present a stronger Catholic presence in the community. And an on-campus rectory large enough for more than one priest would be beneficial.
Walsh & Associates was hired to develop their capital campaign. Besides the identified needs, the campaign would also encompass the parish’s obligation to the archdiocese annual campaign. The St. Thomas Aquinas Cares campaign received generous support from the community. They exceeded their goal and raised over three times annual giving. The funds raised would fulfill the $540,000 towards the archdiocese campaign. Additional funds would be put toward their 2016 master plan. These included improving the parking lot and traffic flow. Building a decorative screen wall and 100-foot-tall steeple facing the main road in front of the church. And preparing and building an on-site rectory.
